The benefit of a fully modular system
- Easy to manage: a totally modular system for scaling the power or adapting quickly to business changes, with standardised modules covering a wide range of power and backup times.
- Pay as you need: no prior expenditure for unpredictable future extensions in power and backup time, and no installation rework when new capacity is needed.
- Everything front-access: connections, switches, manual bypass, the auxiliary mains static bypass, the power modules and all electrical parts are reached from the front, so no extra clearance is needed at the back and installation and maintenance are quick and safe.
Totally redundant design
The MODULYS GP is designed for no single point of failure. Each power module is independent, there is no centralised parallel control, and the parallel bus is connected in a ring. Redundancy of N+1 or N+x can be chosen to match the load.
Enhanced serviceability
- Hot-swap parts: power modules, the auxiliary mains bypass and electronic boards.
- The load stays fully protected in double conversion mode (VFI) during power module replacement.
- A 3-colour LED bar shows the status of each power module at a glance.
- The battery can be hot-swapped without shutting down the connected equipment, and maintenance can be concurrent.
Tested and certified
Green Power 2.0 MODULYS GP is certified by TÜV SÜD for product safety (EN 62040-1), and its efficiency and performance are tested and verified by TÜV SÜD. The power module MTBF is calculated at more than 1,000,000 hours by SERMA Technologies (IEC 62380). The UPS has been tested by CESI against Zone 4 seismic events, and it is RoHS compliant.
Hybrid bypass and monitoring
A hybrid bypass architecture places distributed inverter bypasses in parallel with a segregated, centralised auxiliary mains bypass, creating a redundant solution. Remote monitoring is available through the SoLink 24/7 service and the SoLive UPS mobile app, with an IoT gateway for Socomec cloud services and a remote touch-screen panel.
