Who we are
Atiq Traders supplies, installs, repairs and maintains solar energy systems and UPS and power backup equipment. Our address is Shop # 1, Zaiton Colony, Main GT Road, Daroghawala, Lahore, Pakistan. You can reach us at info@atiqtraders.com or on 0300-9423441. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Atiq Traders.
Information we collect
We collect only what you choose to send us through the website, plus a small amount of technical information that every website receives.
- Quotation request form: your name, company (if you give one), phone number, e-mail address, city, the product or service you are asking about, and any details you choose to add about your site, electricity use or requirement.
- Contact form: your name, e-mail address, phone number, subject and your message.
- Newsletter sign-up: your e-mail address.
- Comments on articles: your name, e-mail address and the comment you write. Your e-mail address is not shown publicly.
- Technical information: your IP address, browser type, device, the pages you visit and the time of your visit. This is recorded in the web server’s logs and is used to keep the website secure and working.
The savings calculator works in your browser. The figures you enter are used to show the estimate on your screen; if you choose to request a quotation from the result, they are added to the quotation form, and are sent to us only when you submit that form.
The website does not take payments and never asks for bank account, card or password details.
How we use your information
- to reply to your enquiry and to prepare a recommendation or a quotation;
- to arrange a site visit, installation, repair, maintenance or after-sales support;
- to send you the newsletter, if you subscribed to it;
- to show your comment on an article, if you posted one and it is approved;
- to keep the website secure, to prevent spam and abuse, and to understand in general terms how the website is used so that we can improve it.
Each form asks for your consent before it is sent. We use your information for these purposes only, and we do not use it for automated decision-making.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only where it is needed to run the website and our business:
- our web hosting and e-mail providers, who store and deliver the information you submit;
- our own engineers and sales staff who need it to answer you or to carry out the work you asked for;
- public authorities, where the law requires it.
Cookies and third-party services
The website uses only the cookies that WordPress and the site need to work, for example to remember a comment author’s name and e-mail address if you tick that option. We do not currently use advertising or analytics cookies. If we add analytics later, we will update this page.
- The Contact page shows a Google Maps map. Loading it connects your browser to Google, which handles that data under its own privacy policy.
- The WhatsApp and phone buttons open WhatsApp or your phone’s dialler. WhatsApp is run by a third party under its own terms and privacy policy.
- Links to Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and X take you to those services, which have their own privacy policies.
How long we keep it
- Quotation requests and contact messages: for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, or longer where we need them for an active job, a warranty or service obligation, or for accounting and legal reasons.
- Newsletter e-mail address: until you unsubscribe.
- Comments: for as long as the article they belong to is published, unless you ask us to remove them.
- Server logs: for a short period, normally no more than a few months.
How we protect it
Form submissions are stored in the website’s administration area, which only authorised staff can open with a password, and are sent to our business e-mail address. We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No method of sending or storing data over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You may ask us at any time to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct information that is wrong or out of date;
- delete your information, unless we must keep it by law or for an active job;
- stop sending you the newsletter (every newsletter can be stopped by writing to us, and we will remove your address promptly);
- withdraw a consent you gave us.

Children
The website is meant for adults and businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our practices or the law change. The effective date at the top of the page shows when it was last changed. Please check it from time to time.
