A 14.3 kWh low-voltage home battery
The Dyness PowerBrick Pro is a low-voltage LiFePO4 battery designed for household energy storage. It is a 51.2 V, 280 Ah unit with a nominal energy of 14.336 kWh and an operating voltage of 44.8–57.6 V. The depth of discharge is 95%, and the cycle life is 8000 cycles or more, which the manufacturer relates to 10 years (tested at 0.2C charge and discharge, 25 °C and 95% depth of discharge).
Expansion and charging
Up to 50 units can be connected in parallel, which gives a capacity from 14.3 kWh to 716.8 kWh. The recommended charge and discharge rate is 0.5C, or 140 A. The maximum charge and discharge current is 200 A, and the peak discharge current is 300 A for 2 minutes at 25 °C. The battery can be charged from 0 to 55 °C (−20 to 55 °C is optional) and discharged from −20 to 55 °C.
Safety and protection
The enclosure has an IP65 protection level, so the battery can be installed indoors or outdoors. A built-in aerosol fire extinguisher is part of the unit; the manufacturer states that the intelligent fire extinguishing system reacts within 5 seconds. The battery is certified to UN38.3, IEC62619 and CE-EMC.
Installation and communication
The unit weighs 115 kg and measures 435 / 235 / 850 mm (W / H / D, as printed on the datasheet). Four regulating wheels (1 kg in total) and a top cover (2 kg) are optional, and with the wheels one person can move it. It communicates over CAN or RS485 and has a built-in WiFi module with app OTA updates. The datasheet lists SMA, Schneider, Victron Energy, Ingeteam, Solis, GoodWe, Growatt, Soplanet, Luxpower and DEYE among the compatible inverters.
