Product description

Quality power supply

The Sentry HPS is an online double conversion (VFI) UPS with a filtered and stabilised sinusoidal output voltage. It is immune to interference on the supply line because it has special input and output filters.

Maximum reliability and power availability

Digital control by a microprocessor monitors all the internal parameters and reduces the number of electronic components, which lowers the likelihood of breakdowns. In parallel connections, the digital control balances the currents between the units, which change over time with vibration and temperature, and exchanges information without manual tuning. The Sentry HPS is designed so that it can be connected in parallel even after the first unit has been installed, in parallel, Dual Bus or Dynamic Dual Bus configurations.

High efficiency and maximum battery care

  • ECO mode can raise efficiency up to 98%. The mains is the priority source and the load is switched to the inverter only when the mains characteristics exceed the preset limits.
  • Battery management includes a periodic battery test, protection against deep discharge and temperature-compensated recharge.
  • The high battery current lets large battery banks be recharged in 10 hours, as battery manufacturers recommend.

Motor generator friendly

The input filter options give low harmonic distortion and a high power factor at the input, which makes the UPS well suited to use with a motor generator. On request the HPS series is supplied with a motor generator kit that inhibits battery recharging and/or synchronisation with the bypass.

Safety and communication

A back-feed protection device prevents voltage from feeding back to the upstream distribution board, for the safety of personnel. Aros Watch & Save software shows the input and output voltage, the load applied and the remaining backup time, and can program the automatic shutdown of open systems after a prolonged blackout. Hardware interfaces include an RS-232 serial port, dry contacts and an EPO (emergency power off) contact.
