Product description

Modular and scalable

The Symmetra PX is a modular, scalable UPS: power modules are added as the load grows, up to the 500 kW rating of this configuration, without rebuilding the installation. The configuration shown here is supplied with a maintenance bypass and a distribution cabinet.

High efficiency and clean power

Double conversion online operation reaches 96% efficiency at full load with an input power factor of 0.99 and input harmonic distortion below 5%. The output keeps its voltage within ±1% under static load and ±5% at a 100% load step, with total distortion below 2% on linear loads and below 3% on non-linear loads.

Bypass and overload

  • Built-in maintenance bypass for servicing without interrupting the load.
  • Built-in static bypass with a typical transfer time of 2 ms.
  • Overload capacity of 125% for 10 minutes and 150% for 60 seconds.

Batteries

The system includes 32 VRLA battery modules, with a typical recharge time of 3.5 hours and a battery design life of 5 to 8 years. The UPS also supports customer-specific battery solutions with 144 cells for runtime optimisation.

Monitoring

A touch-screen LCD user interface gives local control, and the network management card 2 provides web access, environmental monitoring, out-of-band access and Modbus.
