A single-phase hybrid inverter from 12 to 18 kW
The Solis Solarator S6-EH1P(12-18)K03-NV-YD-L is a single-phase, low-voltage hybrid inverter in four ratings: 12, 14, 16 and 18 kW. It has three MPP trackers with six string inputs, a recommended PV array of 24, 28, 32 or 36 kW and a usable PV input power of 19.2, 22.4, 25.6 or 28.8 kW. The PV voltage range is 80–520 V with a 550 V maximum, and the maximum input current is 40 A per MPPT (42 A on the 18K).
Battery and back-up
The battery port takes Li-ion or lead-acid batteries between 40 and 60 V and communicates over CAN or RS485. The maximum charge and discharge current is 250, 290, 290 or 320 A, depending on the rating. When the grid fails, the back-up output supplies the rated power of the model and up to twice that for 10 seconds. The switchover from on-grid to off-grid takes less than 10 ms for one inverter, and less than 20 ms in a parallel system of up to 6 inverters. A generator can be connected to the AC input.
AC connections
The grid output is L/N/PE at 220 V or 230 V and 50 Hz or 60 Hz, with a power factor above 0.99 (0.8 leading to 0.8 lagging) and a current distortion (THDi) below 3%. The grid input accepts 187–253 V at up to 18, 21, 24 or 27 kW, the generator input takes 12, 14, 16 or 18 kW, and the maximum AC passthrough current is 90 A.
Efficiency and protection
The maximum efficiency is 97.6% and the EU efficiency 97.0%. Protection includes surge protection, output overcurrent protection, insulation resistance monitoring, residual current detection, an integrated PV switch, DC reverse-polarity protection (PV only) and anti-islanding protection. AFCI 2.0 is optional.
Installation and monitoring
The IP66 inverter weighs 55.5 kg and measures 459 × 845 × 313 mm (W × H × D). It is cooled by intelligent redundant fans, works from −25 to +60 °C at up to 4,000 m and has a typical noise below 65 dB(A). PV connection is by MC4 connectors; the battery and AC connections are terminal blocks. A 7.0-inch LCD display, WiFi, LAN and Bluetooth, and the SolisCloud platform give local and remote monitoring. The standard interfaces are CAN-BMS, CAN-Parallel × 2, RS485-Meter, RS485, DRM, DI and DO × 2; 4G is optional.
